Fuel Monitoring Terms & Conditions
- Compatibility. Whilst there is a high chance of compatibility, there are some makes and models where the fitment is not compatible which may only be found upon fitment. If that is the case then the clients fuel fee will be returned to them or used as a credit against future subscriptions.
- Accuracy. Once calibrated, accuracy is around 90%. This installation is designed to provide clients added comfort in controlling their fuel usage by providing information on location and rough amounts put in and taken out of the fuel tank. This accessory mimics your vehicle fuel gauge and gives you a graphical representation of fuel usage in your vehicle.
- For this add on device to work we need the following:
- Vehicle's fuel gauge and fuel sender must be working. The client must test this before fitment. If we are told to fit and we establish that these are not working then the client will still be charged the fitment fee. An additional fitment fee will be charged once these items have been repaired and we are required to do the fitment again.
- The vehicle must be filled up after installation. Vehicle must then be driven as close to empty as possible and then filled up again. Repeat this exercise 4 times. At very minimum, a refill of at least 70% of the tank is required to provide some level of accuracy. If we are required to recalibrate because the fill ups are too small then an additional fee will be charged for the recalibration.
- Fuel tank size and shape is required. This information is to be provided by the client. If this is not provided, then we will use best efforts to establish the information against information already held or specs sourced online for the same vehicle make and model. The client accepts that this may not be 100% correct as we would not know of any modifications made or variances based on location of manufacturer. If incorrect, the accuracy may be impacted.
- Tampering. Drivers may not like their fuel being monitored and set out to tamper with the unit, sensor, fuel sender unit, gauge etc. Call out fees will be charged to cover repairs that are not covered by our standard 13 month warranty for faulty units or fitments.

Fuel Probe Terms & Conditions
- Compatibility. Whilst there is a high chance of compatibility, there are some makes and models where the fitment is not compatible which may only be found upon fitment.
- Accuracy. Once calibrated, accuracy is around 95%. This accessory is designed to provide clients added comfort in controlling their fuel usage by providing information on where and when fuel has been put in or taken out and the approximate quantities. This will also provide indications of fuel theft.
- Installation. The client is made aware that installation involves drilling a small hole in the tank, where the fuel probe will be mounted and sealed securely. In the event that a tank needs to be removed in order to do this, the client will need to provide a mechanic to assist with this process. Should the client not provide a mechanic, Trac-King technicians may need to purchase specialised tools, and the cost will fall on the client. It is also noted that while our technicians are certified in auto electrics, they are not mechanics, therefore if we are to arrange the removal of the tank, the client has been made aware that Trac-King accepts no liability for damage to the tank or components during this process.
- Full Tank. The client is to ensure that the vehicle has a full fuel tank/s for the calibration process.
- Calibration. Trac-King technicians will run through the calibration process once the probe has been installed.
- Tampering. It is important to note, drivers may not like their fuel being monitored and set out to tamper with the probe. Call out fees will be charged to cover repairs that are not covered by our standard 13 month warranty for faulty units or fitments.
- Vehicle Warranty. The client accepts that cutting wires and drilling holes will void any existing warranties on the vehicle fuel tank.
- Termination. In the event that the client no longer requires the fuel probe accessory, we will require notice in writing to this effect. The client is made aware that removal of the physical probe is not possible. The probe will therefore be disconnected and the contract will be cancelled as per the terms and conditions, however the probe will remain in the tank, inactive.
